Three Indian-origin men held in Texas prostitution sting

Three Indian-origin men were among ten individuals arrested in a prostitution sting conducted by the Irving Police Department as part of an ongoing investigation into human trafficking.
Those arrested are in the age group of 28-30 years. All are reportedly of Telugu origin.

According to authorities, the operation, carried out on Oct. 14, targeted locations identified through online advertisements and massage parlors.
The arrests were made for solicitation of prostitution, a felony in Texas even for a first-time offense. A conviction can result in up to two years in state jail and fines of up to $10,000. Under Texas law, solicitation of prostitution is defined as knowingly offering, agreeing, or attempting to engage in sexual conduct for a fee — regardless of whether the exchange or payment occurs.
The Irving Police Department said the operation was part of broader efforts to address human trafficking and related criminal activity in the area.
The sting is part of a wider statewide crackdown on prostitution-related crimes linked to trafficking.
Similar operations have been conducted in cities across North Texas, including Dallas, where local and federal agencies have made dozens of arrests in recent months for commercial sex transactions.
