Shankar Vedantam to lead brain health talk at Davos

Indian-American journalist Shankar Vedantam will join The Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative's (DAC) Brain House at the 2026 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, from Jan. 19 to 22.
Vedantam, an award-winning journalist and host of NPR show 'Hidden Brain', will lead a discussion on how brain health is increasingly seen as an economic priority, moving from talk to real action in government, investment, and healthcare systems.

As host of Hidden Brain, one of the top science podcasts in the US and worldwide, he has attracted a large audience by uncovering the hidden forces behind human behavior, decisions, and resilience. His work makes complex neuroscience easy to understand and engaging for people far beyond the scientific world.
Bengaluru-born Vedantam was formerly a national correspondent and columnist for the Washington Post, and a 2010 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
The Brain House returns , building on its successful 2025 debut and a year of engaging leaders from policy, science, and business across North America, Europe, Africa, and South Asia. In 2026, it will reconvene this diverse cross-sector audience as brain health gains recognition as a critical economic priority.
