Indian mission hosts exhibition celebrating ICCR Day in NY

The Consulate General of India in New York is set to host an Indian Art & Literature Exhibition, ‘Rachna,’ on April 8, to celebrate the foundation day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations celebrates its Foundation Day annually on April 9, marking its establishment in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad to promote India's cultural diplomacy, heritage, and international understanding.
The day is commemorated worldwide through Indian missions.
CGI New York took to Instagram and announced the upcoming exhibition, calling for artists, writers, translators, and illustrators to participate and send their submissions rooted in India’s cultural heritage.
“Join us in honoring the traditions and creative expressions that make Indian art and literature a unique treasure,” read the post.
Participants can send their works across traditional art forms, visual Arts, paintings, literary works, translations, and illustrations, with the last date of submission being March 26.

Participation in the exhibition is open to those residing in the states within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of India, New York.
