Prominent Indian-American celebrities joined fashion designer Anita Dongre on Nov. 1 to celebrate the opening of her new Beverly Hills flagship store—her first on the iconic Rodeo Drive—marking a significant cultural crossover between Indian heritage and global luxury.
The launch event at Gardenhouse Beverly Hills was attended by Mindy Kaling and Poorna Jagannathan, along with Supriya Ganesh, Yvonne Orji, Shabana Azeez, and producer Simran Baidwan.
Dongre, known for styling global icons such as Priyanka Chopra, Kate Middleton, and Beyoncé, unveiled the space as a reflection of “modern-day Rajasthan.” In a Facebook post following the launch, she wrote, “Our Beverly Hills flagship marks a defining moment in our journey of taking India to the world.”

“Bringing the soul of Indian craftsmanship to the global luxury landscape, the space is imagined as a sanctuary of serenity inspired by modern-day Rajasthan. Here, contemporary silhouettes meet centuries-old crafts, every detail—from hand-painted Pichhwai walls to bespoke furnishings—reflecting a dialogue between culture, craftsmanship, and conscious couture,” she added
The store, located at 8614 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, integrates Indian design traditions with contemporary luxury. Featuring Pichhwai art, embroidered furnishings, and a sculpted elephant crafted from invasive Lantana weeds, the interiors embody Dongre’s 'Fashion For Good' philosophy, emphasizing sustainability and ethical craftsmanship.
“Every piece we create is touched by the hands of women artisans whose skills have been passed down through generations. Bringing their craft to Beverly Hills is not just about fashion—it’s about giving their art the global stage it deserves,” shared Dongre. “It allows us to extend the philosophy of mindful luxury to a global community that values purpose as much as beauty.”
The Beverly Hills flagship joins her existing international stores in New York’s SoHo, Dubai Mall, and Mumbai, making her the first Indian designer to establish a presence on Rodeo Drive. The event generated strong social media engagement, with attendees posting images that celebrated Indian design and diaspora representation in luxury fashion.
Dongre also recently partnered with Mattel on the first Diwali Barbie designed by an Indian creator.
