After living in the US for 27 years, 65-year-old Anjan Karnati, is running to become a County Commissioner in Middlesex, New Jersey.

Karnati's campaign is driven by a commitment to reform, focusing on core concerns for residents: demanding lower property taxes, advocating for greater neighbourhood safety and security, and tackling the disruption caused by over-development.

“I believe in putting people first rather than politics. My focus will be on economic development within the county and helping remove red tape for small business owners and local industries,” says Karnati who has been an IT professional in the US for two decades and is now a small business owner himself.

A masters in statistics and a graduate in maths from Osmania University in Hyderabad; he moved to America in 1998 after working in a bank in India.
