GOPIO-CT helps raise funds for Stamford Hospital

The organization has been participating in these fund raising efforts for the last 16 years.

Global Organization of People of Indian Origin - Connecticut Chapter (GOPIO-CT) participated in a fund-raising walkathon for Stamford hospital, Connecticut.

GOPIO-CT has been participating in the efforts to raise funds for Bennett Cancer Center of the Stamford Hospital for the last 16 years.

Donations support cancer patients and their families at Stamford Hospital, funding free services like transportation to treatment, nutrition counseling, acupuncture, and other essential services at the Bennett Cancer Center.

GOPIO-CT was a sponsor of the walkathon, along with other corporations and nonprofits. Each individual GOPIO-CT participant also raised funds.

Coordinated by GOPIO-CT Board member Anita Mathur, the organization raised over $2,500.

GOPIO-CT serves as a non-partisan, secular, civic and community service organization, promoting awareness of Indian culture, customs and contributions of people of Indian origin through community programs, forums, events and youth activities.
