Rajashree Birla paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. / Gandhian Society
The Gandhian Society (USA) organized a Meet and Greet event on May 26, at Royal Albert’s Palace in Edison, New Jersey. The event was hosted in honor of Rajashree Birla, from the Birla Group.
The event also marked the unveiling of plans for the Eternal Gandhi Peace Center, set to be established in Central New Jersey. The center is envisioned as a community hub dedicated to education, dialogue, and programs focused on non-violence, social justice, and harmony.

The Meet and Greet attracted a diverse crowd of civic leaders, community members and other dignitaries, united in upholding and promoting Gandhian values. The array of speakers included Mayor Sam Joshi (Edison), Mayor John McCormac (Woodbridge), and Consul Pragnya Singh, who underscored the importance of Gandhian principles in addressing the challenges of the modern world.
In her keynote address, Rajashree Birla shared reflections on the power of peace, compassion, and service, and commended the Gandhian Society’s efforts to keep Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy alive through meaningful community engagement.
