The Indian American community in the tri-state New York area came together in Queens to host a fundraiser in support of Raj Goyle, Democratic primary candidate for New York state comptroller, on Jan. 4.
The event was organized by community leaders Dr. Thomas Abraham, Alex Esthappan and Vim K. Goyal.

The fundraiser also served as a networking event, bringing together a broad cross-section of community leaders and supporters.
Goyle addressed attendees and shared his vision, objectives and priorities for the office of comptroller. The event exceeded its fundraising goal, raising more than $7,000, indicating momentum for his campaign.
In his remarks, Goyle highlighted his commitment to accountability, innovation and affordability in the management of New York state’s finances, with a strong emphasis on building a more transparent and effective state government.
Participants expressed confidence in Goyle’s candidacy and optimism that he will prevail in the Democratic primary ahead of the November election.
The event also reflected the growing engagement and unity of the Indian American community in civic and political participation.
