Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign said it raised nearly $20 million in 2025.

The total includes $9.88 million raised during the second half of the year, following $9.7 million collected between late February and June, shortly after Ramaswamy launched his bid for Ohio governor.

The campaign said neither figure includes any personal contributions from Ramaswamy.

“You simply don’t see this level of support in a gubernatorial race in Ohio,” said campaign manager Jonathan Ewing. “Raising $9.88 million in a single reporting period and nearly $20 million in the year before the election sends an unmistakable message: Vivek’s campaign has historic momentum that no other campaign can match.”

The campaign said the first-half fundraising total marked the largest early fundraising haul by a gubernatorial candidate in Ohio history, driven by contributions from more than 40,000 individual donors.

Reacting to the fundraising figures, Ramaswamy wrote on social media, “Grateful for the historic level of support. Looking forward to leading our state to new heights.”

According to the campaign, Ramaswamy has hosted 112 campaign events with a fundraising component since launching his campaign in late February 2025. The $9.88 million raised in the second half of the year also came entirely from supporter contributions.

Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur and former 2024 Republican presidential candidate, is running to succeed term-limited Ohio Governor Mike DeWine in the 2026 gubernatorial race. On the Democratic side, former Ohio health director Amy Acton is seeking the party’s nomination.
