“Vivek brings an exceptional combination of clinical expertise, informatics leadership, and strategic vision. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated how thoughtfully designed technology can improve patient care, support care teams, and advance organizational performance,” Bisson said.
Reddy joined University of Utah Health in 2019 and has held several leadership positions, including executive vice chair and vice chair of strategy in the Department of Neurology. Before joining the university, Reddy served as chief health information officer at Intermountain Health and previously held senior informatics leadership roles, including chief medical information officer, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
A board-certified neurologist, vascular neurologist and clinical informaticist, Reddy has led initiatives in electronic health record optimization, clinical documentation improvement, analytics, interoperability and care transformation. He was also among the inaugural recipients of the EHR Game Changers Award, recognizing leaders who have advanced the use of electronic health records.
