US President Donald Trump on Aug.14 invoked his experience in resolving an India–Pakistan military standoff, warning that the situation at the time had reached the brink of nuclear conflict.
“If you look at Pakistan and India, that was — planes were being knocked out of the air, six or seven planes came down,” Trump told reporters. “They were ready to go, maybe nuclear. We solved that.”
