A national nonprofit, South Asian Impact Foundation, celebrates May, 2025 as the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month to commemorate the six-million strong fastest-growing community in the U.S.

The foundation’s Executive Director, Chintan Patel, Executive Director of the South Asian Impact Foundation, said: “This month, we honor our collective journey: stories of migration, resilience, and a legacy marked by heroism, trailblazing, and selfless sacrifice. For generations, South Asians have helped shape this country for the better, contributing meaningfully across every sector of society.”

Highlighting trying circumstances the community is experiencing, he said: “Yet we celebrate at a time when some seek to divide us, reverse progress, and normalize hate. The fight for equity and belonging is far from over.”

To mark the celebratory month, the foundation is launching Desi Dialogues—a new initiative convening the community through virtual gatherings and town halls. It re-energises its Immigrants Who Impact campaign to highlight stories driving the communities forward.
