Nisha Patel calls out doctors tied to Epstein cases
She wrote that ignoring, enabling or minimizing abuse violated mandatory reporting obligations and professional ethics.

Indian-origin physician Nisha Patel criticized gynecologists who treated victims connected to Jeffrey Epstein, saying they failed medical ethics and humanity, in a social media post.
Patel questioned the role of physicians Epstein allegedly sent his victims to and rejected any defense that doctors were “just doing your job” while children were being abused. She wrote that ignoring, enabling or minimizing abuse violated mandatory reporting obligations and professional ethics.

“Who the hell were these gynecologists treating Epstein’s victims?” Patel wrote. She added that licenses do not negate mandatory reporting requirements and said such conduct amounted to a failure of medicine, ethics and humanity.

The comments followed the release of additional documents related to Epstein. One email from 2012 asked Epstein, “Do you remember the name of the Gynecologist that you used to send your victims to?” The sender’s name was redacted in the documents. On social media, some users alleged the sender may have been Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein. That claim has not been independently verified.
An alleged victim has also described her experience in a diary, claiming she was used as a “human incubator” by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and that the child she gave birth to was taken from her immediately. The contents of the diary have not been verified. The woman’s accusations against an Epstein associate have been disputed in court.
The U.S. Department of Justice has cautioned that newly published files related to the case may contain “fake or falsely submitted” materials.
The woman claims she gave birth around 2002, when she would have been either 16 or 17 years old.
Separately, medical records included in the document trove indicated Epstein’s testosterone levels were consistently low. In a 2014 email, a doctor told Epstein his testosterone level was 142. Three years later, he was informed it had dropped to 125.
Epstein, a financier, died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving minors.
