Nikhita Kathuria-Prakash joins Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute

Prakash will provide advanced oncology care, lead research efforts, and enhance community outreach.

Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (FCS) has announced the addition of Indian-American oncologist Nikhita Kathuria-Prakash to its Lake City clinic in Columbia County.

A board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist, Prakash brings decades of experience in patient care, clinical research, and medical education. She joins FCS after completing her medical school, residency, and fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

She has also led and contributed to several clinical research initiatives at UCLA and the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

Welcoming the appointment, FCS assistant managing physician David Wenk said, “Kathuria-Prakash is a talented physician whose commitment to excellence spans clinical care and research, teaching and impactful actions to improve the delivery of oncology care. Her commitment to medical education and community outreach will enrich the lives of our patients and the residents of Columbia County.”
