The film exposes the hidden injustices of bride slavery through emotive narrative and visuals. Co-produced by Sandesh Sharda of Sharda International Productions and featuring global youth icon Taha Shah Badushah in a poignant role, Paro has already earned standing ovations at Harvard, Oxford, and Cannes.
The executive team behind the film includes Metta World Peace, Akio Tyler, Luna Zhang, and Priya Samant.
Festival co-founders Moe Rock, CEO of The Los Angeles Tribune, and Emily Letran, president of LATIFF, are spearheading the festival bringing together filmmakers, activists, and audiences from around the globe.
“Cinema is more than entertainment. With LATIFF, we are uniting global storytellers to not only showcase art, but to awaken hearts & inspire action because every story we elevate can change the world,” Rock said.
