Krishnamoorthi leads probe into Flock Group for invasive surveillance practices

The lawmaker has accused the Atlanta company of using their cameras to gain information about immigrants and those seeking abortion services.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, Ranking Member of the Oversight Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services, has launched a formal investigation into Flock Group Inc, a security hardware and software company based in Atlanta, over its alleged role in enabling invasive surveillance practices.

Flock Safety develops and provides security solutions using automated license plate recognition (ALPR) cameras and related software. They are known for their ALPR cameras, which are used by neighborhoods, law enforcement agencies, and businesses to capture and analyse vehicle license plates.
