Indian American community leader Jasdip Singh Jassee has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “pick up the phone and talk to President Trump” in a direct effort to resolve the ongoing trade dispute and secure a long-anticipated agreement between the two democracies.

“President Trump has a new way of negotiation... he likes to have direct talk,” Jassee said. “So I would ask Prime Minister Modi to pick up the phone and talk to President Trump and sort out any differences,” he said amidst the escalation of tension between the two countries.
