The Consulate General of Houston is set to hold a prayer meeting on May. 2 for the 26 innocent victims killed in the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Apr. 22.
The Indian diaspora community has been holding candlelight vigils and peaceful protests across cities in the United States to condemn the terrorist attack, sponsored by Pakistan, which targeted the Hindu faith.
On Apr. 27, members of the diaspora, as per a social media post by the Consulate General of India, Houston, from different organizations gathered at Sugar Land Memorial Park in large numbers to offer condolence and prayers for the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. They were vocal in condemning the horrific attack and called for justice.
A similar gathering was held at Frisco, Texas on Apr. 28. Community members held a vigil for the Pahalgam terrorist attack victims. They offered their condolences and expressed anguish and sorrow for the grieving families.

The community members and leaders emphasized the need for peace, unity, and resilience in the face of the terrorist attack. They also made a collective pledge to stand against terrorism in all its forms.
