The 2025 Impact Summit & Gala, a major annual gathering of South Asian American changemakers, will take place in Washington, D.C., on Sept.16 and 17. Organized under the theme ‘Desis Persist: Our Stories, Our Strength’, the two-day event will bring together elected officials, organizers, advocates, and community leaders to highlight South Asian leadership and civic engagement.

The summit begins on the afternoon of Sept. 16 with a series of workshops and keynotes focused on storytelling, identity, policy advocacy, and allyship. Programming will run from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

On Sept. 17, participants will return for a full day of sessions from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring an Indian American Congressional panel, community organizing trainings, and a Capitol Hill Day of Action. Organizers said participants will receive training before meeting with U.S. Representatives and Senators to advocate for community issues.

A gala will follow on the evening of Sep. 17, offering keynotes, entertainment, and food. Ticket prices for the gala start at $250, while early bird rates for the two-day summit are $75, which includes lunch and refreshments on both days.

Organizers are also accepting proposals from performers, facilitators, and organizations interested in contributing to the event. They are specifically seeking artistic performances, affinity group or networking session leaders, and groups to participate in the summit’s table expo or to sell products at the gala.

Proposals must be submitted by July 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET. Selected participants will be notified by Aug. 22.

A full agenda will be released soon.
