Delhi Dil Walo Ki fest highlights Indian culture in Atlanta

The festival included performances, Indian cuisine, and community recognition.

The ‘Delhi Dil Walo Ki’ Cultural Festival in Atlanta brought together the Indian-American community for a day of cultural performances and community engagement. 

Held at Peachtree Ridge High School, the festival was organized by Mustafa Ajmeri of Global Entertainment and Media Services in collaboration with Krishan Goyal of Jashan Events. 

Traditional dance performances, fashion shows, and musical presentations were all part of the cultural programme, curated by Ritambhara Mittal, with support from Divya Chembath and Priyanka Mathiyalagan.

Several individuals were recognized during the event for their contributions to the community, including Dinesh Mathur, Vir Nanda, Jitu Patel, Madhulika Kumar, Raja Lulla, and Geeta Mehrotra, among others. Bollywood makeup artist Sahil Shaikh and actor Vijay Vishwa were also in attendance.

More than 60 vendors participated in the festival, along with over eight food stalls, offering a range of regional Indian cuisine. With several vendors preparing dishes live on-site, visitors were able to enjoy dishes such as dosa, vada pav, Indo-Chinese dishes, jalebis, and sugarcane juice.

The event was held in memory of Sunita Bhandari, with a blood drive organized by Kapil Bhandari and the Nirankari Mission. Support was provided by local businesses and organizations including Georgia Clinic, Tanishq Atlanta, Walia Hospitality, Topaz Tours, Patel Brothers, and others.

The venue design was managed by Gayatri of Happy Day Decor, while signage and marketing materials were produced by Copy Shop, led by Shazim Hameed and Amy. Volunteers and student participants played a significant role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
