DriveWealth appoints Naureen Hassan as global CEO

She succeeds Michael Blaugrund.

DriveWealth, a New York-based financial technology platform specializing in Brokerage-as-a-Service, has appointed Indian-American finance executive Naureen Hassan as its new global chief executive officer (CEO). 

Hassan brings extensive experience in digital innovation, operational strategy, and regulatory management across global banking and wealth management. As CEO, she will oversee DriveWealth’s operations, spearhead its growth into new markets, and advance the company’s mission of democratizing investing worldwide, the company said in a statement.

 “Naureen has a proven track record as an industry innovator and disruptor and is the perfect person to lead DriveWealth through our continued evolution and next phase of growth. She joins us during a period of accelerating growth, and we look forward to all that is to come under her visionary leadership,” said Robert Cortright, DriveWealth founder and executive chairman. 

Hassan most recently served as president of UBS Americas, where she managed a $14 billion revenue division with more than 25,000 employees and led the integration of Credit Suisse in the Americas. 

She previously served as chief digital officer at Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management unit, executive vice president at the Charles Schwab Corporation, chief operating officer of Schwab Bank, and chief operating officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she was the first Indian-American to hold the role.

Hassan holds a Masters’ degree in business administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University
