Dr Anantha Chandrakasan honored by Indian Consulate after MIT appointment

He is MIT’s first Indian-American Provost.

Dr. Anantha P. Chandrakasan was felicitated on July 1 by the Consulate General of India in New York and the Indian-American community in New England following his appointment as the first Indian-American Provost of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The event took place at The Treasury – Indian and Greek Kitchen in New York and brought together diplomats, faculty members, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Chandrakasan, who currently serves as Dean of MIT’s School of Engineering, was recognized for his contributions to low-power electronics and academic leadership.
