Dhoni moving from cricketing action to Bollywood action? 'The Chase' teaser dropped

Fans of cricketing icon MS. Dhoni have been electrified as actor R. Madhavan shared a teaser video featuring MS Dhoni. Igniting a social media frenzy, Madhavan's post has left fans wondering whether the world cup winning captain has finally stepped into the world of cinema.
Dhoni can be seen in action sequences alongside Madhavan, in what seems to be a high-octane tactical-action film. The duo are seen performing high-intensity stunts with blazing guns while wearing bullet proof vests, sunglasses and dressed in all-black.
Adding fuel to the rumor-mill, the teaser also features digital content creator and influencer Viraj Ghelani, along with Dhoni and Madhavan.
Titled 'The Chase', the collaboration will be directed by bollywood screenwriter-director Vasan Bala and produced by Lucifer Circus. The production house's role keeps the mystery alive as it recently produced a malayalam rom-com film, 'Sukhamano Sukhamanu' but is also noted for producing short films and advertisements.

"One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up- a wild, explosive chase begins," remarked Madhavan while sharing the teaser.
The, now retired, former Indian men's cricket captain, who was made a Lieutenant Colonel (Honorary) in the Parachute Regiment of the Indian Territorial Army in 2011, has been away from cricket since last may's 2025 IPL season.
