CRY America hosts annual charity cricket tournament
Funds raised will support CRY America projects focused on eliminating child labor, malnutrition, and gender-based discrimination.

Child Rights and You America (CRY America) successfully hosted its annual charity cricket tournament, CRYket 2025, on July 19 at Johnson Park in New Jersey.
The event brought together 11 teams, including three all-women’s teams, and approximately 100 participants to support better childhoods for underprivileged children in India and the United States.
Disha Dhingra, opening batswoman for the US Women’s Cricket Team, who graced the event, expressed her appreciation for the initiative. She encouraged young individuals to contribute to their communities, adding, “Work hard and keep practicing.”
DTCC emerged as the tournament champions. Team captain Anand Churi remarked that the event is one his team eagerly anticipates each year. He urged children to “dream big, ask for guidance and help when you need it,” assuring them that support would follow.
Proceeds from the tournament will be directed towards CRY America-supported initiatives aimed at eliminating child labor, malnutrition, and gender-based discrimination.
The event was made possible through the support of sponsors including Iris Software, Mindsprint, and APN Consulting, as well as contributions from donors and community volunteers. Special acknowledgment was given to CRY New Jersey chapter leader Haresh Lala and the student volunteers who played a key role in organizing the event.
