Child Rights and You America (CRY America), a non-profit committed to ensuring equal opportunities for children, is hosting its annual CRY Walk 2025 across the United States.

The nationwide initiative, planned in multiple cities, features a 5K walk or run through community parks, alongside family-friendly activities, games, and opportunities for participants to raise funds that directly support underprivileged children.

The upcoming events include the CRY Seattle Walk/Run, scheduled for September 14 at Marymoor Park, Redmond.  The CRY Boston Walk will take place on September 21 at Minute Man National Historical Park (Bedford Depot Park). On September 28, the New Jersey Walk will be held at Roosevelt Park Lake Area.

A virtual CRY America Walk on will be held on October 31, enabling participants across the country to walk in their own neighborhoods in solidarity with the cause. In November, the event goes to San Diego on November 1 at Lake Poway and Houston on November 2 at Lost Creek Park.

Shefali Sunderlal, president of CRY America, emphasized the importance of collective action. "We invite everyone - children, parents and grandparents - to join our local city walks to ensure that underprivileged children realize their dreams. If we all come together and address children's issues with a sense of urgency, then no child will remain illiterate, malnourished or exploited."

Volunteers play a central role in CRY Walk’s success. Manisha Dahiya, a long-time volunteer, described her experience as deeply rewarding. “Volunteering with CRY has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I truly believe each of us, volunteers and donors, has the power to make a difference, and together, we can help children thrive,” she shared.
