The Cricket Association for the Blind in the United States of America (CABUSA) and Samarthanam USA have announced a partnership with eClinicalWorks to sponsor the first-ever USA Women’s Cricket Team for the Blind.
The 16-member squad will represent the country at the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup–Cricket for the Blind, to be held from Nov. 11 to 23 across New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Colombo.
Hosted by Samarthanam International and the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), the tournament will feature six nations—Australia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the USA. The U.S. team is currently training in India to prepare for the competition.

Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, chairman of Samarthanam International, described the occasion as deeply significant. “This is a proud and emotional moment for CABUSA and every individual who believed in these incredible women. Their journey is a testament to courage, teamwork, and the power of inclusion,” he said.
eClinicalWorks chief operating officer Mahesh Navani said the company was honored to support the team. “We believe this is a huge step towards breaking down barriers and redefining possibilities,” he said. “The spirit of sportsmanship guides our operations, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and inclusivity.”
Match schedule for the 1st T20 World Cup Cricket For the Blind / Courtesy: Cricket Association for the Blind in the United States of America (CABUSA)Team captain Abey Finklea expressed gratitude to the sponsors, noting that the team, formed only five months ago, had already shown strong progress. “Although many of our players are new to the sport, our progress has been exceptional,” she said. “In our first practice game against the Delhi team, our dedication, skill, and teamwork led us to victory.”
CABUSA president Ajith Bhaskar extended best wishes to all teams participating in the World Cup and thanked eClinicalWorks for its support. “This global platform stands as a powerful symbol of determination and inclusivity,” he said. “We are immensely proud of the athletes representing the United States and deeply grateful to Samarthanam and Mahantesh for their unwavering support.”
The World Cup will include 15 league matches, two semi-finals, and a final. Pakistan’s matches will be played in Colombo. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 11 at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.
CABI, the cricketing division of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, is organizing the tournament with Sri Lanka Cricket Association for the Visually Handicapped as co-host, underscoring India’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities in sports for athletes with disabilities.
