Blue Dart launches Diwali shipping discounts for diaspora
Under the scheme, Priority service will be eligible for discounts of up to 40 percent.

Blue Dart, a leading air and logistics provider, has introduced a limited-period discount scheme on domestic and international gift shipments ahead of the Diwali season.
The company has branded the initiative “Diwali Express,” which will run until Oct. 27.

Under the scheme, international non-document shipments weighing between three and 25 kilograms will qualify for discounts of up to 60 percent. Domestic gift consignments between two and ten kilograms under Blue Dart’s Domestic Priority service will receive discounts of up to 40 percent. The offer applies to all Blue Dart retail outlets and includes free home pick-up services.
“With ‘Diwali Express’, we’re enabling customers and businesses to share festive cheer with reliable, on-time deliveries at compelling rates,” said Dipanjan Banerjee, chief commercial officer at Blue Dart. He added that the company’s extensive reach and time-definite services would ensure gifts arrive securely both within India and overseas.
Blue Dart provides its international logistics and shipping services to the USA through its affiliation with the DHL group. The company runs its own fleet of Boeing freighters, positioning it as one of the few logistics firms in India with dedicated air cargo capacity.
Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, is one of India’s most widely celebrated holidays and typically drives a sharp increase in consumer spending and the movement of goods, both within the country and among the Indian diaspora abroad.
