BAPS temple in Beltsville gets Congressional recognition

BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) was awarded a Congressional Certificate of Recognition by Congressman Glen Ivey at the BAPS temple in Beltsville, Maryland.

A Congressional Certificate of Recognition is a document issued by a member of Congress to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions within their district. These certificates are often presented for various occasions, including community achievements.

Rep. Ivey presented the certificate during the BAPS Beltsville's Janmashtami celebrations.

BAPS expressed delight over the congressional recognition and said on X, "Thank you @RepGlennIvey for visiting our @BAPS Mandir in Beltsville, MD, and for presenting a congressional certificate of recognition.

It added, "We’re grateful for your leadership and engagement."



BAPS Beltsville is also celebrating its 25th anniversary. It will celebrate its anniversary from Sept. 12 to 14 with Kirtan Aradhana, Parivarik Ekta Mahapuja and Patotsav Vidhi.

While sharing the news of the congressional certificate, Rep. Ivey congratulated the temple on its upcoming anniversary and said, "Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. Wishing the Beltsville BAPS community abundant blessings and expressing gratitude for their devoted service to faith, heritage, and the wider community."
