Indian American venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani praised Vice President JD Vance’s address at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, describing his remarks as “fiery” and expressing support for his framing of American identity.
“Fiery speech! And I loved it,” she wrote in a post on X following Vance’s speech on Dec. 21 at the Phoenix Convention Center, which drew significant attention online.
In her post, which crossed 80,000 views, Motwani quoted Vance directly, highlighting his statement that “America is a Christian nation which does not mean you have to be Christian to be American.”

If foreigners poured into India and condemned our Hindu-ness and demanded we abandon our religion, would we like…
Motwani, who describes herself as a “megadonor” to the Republican party, drew parallels between Vance’s remarks and debates over cultural identity elsewhere.
“If foreigners poured into India and condemned our Hindu-ness and demanded we abandon our religion, would we like it?” she wrote, presenting the speech as a defense of national heritage rather than religious exclusion.
She also encouraged followers to watch speeches delivered at the event by Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
In the same post, Motwani described herself as a “proud supporter” of the ideas promoted by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and credited the organization with opposing what she called “Wokeism that has crippled the American university system.”
While noting that the conservative youth movement was “not flawless and perfect,” Motwani said it carried “promise in maintaining America’s greatness,” adding that it “is here to stay” and “growing by the minute.”
Vance’s address closed the four-day AmericaFest gathering, which drew more than 30,000 attendees. His speech focused on internal unity within the conservative movement, cultural debates, and honoring Kirk, while cautioning against ideological purity tests.
Motwani had made headlines earlier for claiming she changed U.S. President Donald Trump’s stance on H‑1B visas. She said she discussed the program’s importance with both Trump and Vance and pointed out how top global talent, particularly from India, contributes to the U.S. economy.
