Fulcrum Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based growth equity firm, announced that seasoned healthcare entrepreneur Amit Patel has joined the team as a venture partner to help expand its healthcare investment efforts.
Patel, founder and CEO of Summit Spine and Joint Centers, will serve in an advisory and strategic role, working with Fulcrum’s investment team to identify new opportunities and support existing portfolio companies. His inclusion signals Fulcrum’s continued commitment to backing operationally strong, scalable healthcare businesses, the firm said in a statement.

Patel brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership, having built Summit into a leading provider in the musculoskeletal care space. Under his leadership, the company delivered strong outcomes and successful exits for Fulcrum’s Fund III and Fund IV investors.

As venture partner, Patel will work closely with management teams across Fulcrum’s investments, offering guidance on growth strategies, operational improvements, and patient-centered care models.
