A4H Chairman Japra says India shaping AI’s ethical direction

Romesh Japra, founder and chairman of Americans4Hindus, said India is helping shape the ethical, moral, and strategic direction of the global AI revolution and that artificial intelligence must serve civilization, strengthen democracies, and elevate human potential, as he confirmed he is attending the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

Japra issued the statement ahead of the summit, which is being held at India Mandapam, convened under the leadership and invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The gathering is expected to bring together global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and technologists to move artificial intelligence from policy dialogue to measurable real-world impact.

The India–AI Impact Summit 2026 will focus on AI’s role in empowering humanity, aligning technological advancement with sustainability and inclusive growth, and advancing shared prosperity.

Key discussions are set to examine AI’s transformative potential in healthcare and medical innovation, including predictive diagnostics and early detection, robotic precision and AI-assisted procedures, and personalized and precision medicine aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Governance and democracy will also feature prominently, with sessions centered on data-driven and transparent governance, ethical frameworks, accountability in AI deployment, and enhanced civic engagement and policy innovation.
