Vijay Dhawangale, founder of Lifenity Group, was presented with the Excellence in Healthcare Award at the UK-India Health Partnership Awards 2025, held at the Palace of Westminster, House of Lords.

The annual awards recognize leadership and innovation in healthcare across the United Kingdom and India. Dhawangale was honored for his work through Lifenity Group, which has expanded diagnostic and wellness services globally.

“It is a privilege to receive this award from Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, amidst a gathering of esteemed changemakers committed to advancing global health,” Dhawangale said. “This honour reinforces our commitment to creating accessible, innovative, and sustainable healthcare solutions that reduce disparities and bring care closer to those who need it most.”

Under Dhawangale’s leadership, Lifenity Group launched a free diagnostic services program that now reaches nearly 21 million patients annually. The network connects over 3,700 healthcare facilities and includes more than 181 laboratories, processing around 350,000 tests each day.

The company has also developed an Occupational Health Program, which has provided preventive and routine healthcare services to around 30 million underserved workers and their families.

In addition, Lifenity has built what it calls the world’s largest rural dialysis network, with 434 facilities and 2,653 dialysis beds. Staffed by nephrologists, nurses, and technicians, the program delivers critical treatment to patients in remote locations.

These programs have been replicated in other regions and are recognized for lowering out-of-pocket costs and offering accessible care.

The UK-India Health Partnership Awards highlight efforts that tackle global health challenges through collaboration and innovation. This year’s event focused on strategies for equitable access to healthcare.
