Vidya Bharati presents Lifetime Achievement Award to David Wilcox

Vidya Bharati New England has awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for Scaling Causes  to entrepreneur David Wilcox, founder of ReachScale, a scaling impact consultancy company.

The honor was bestowed during Vidya Bharati's annual gala held in Burlington, recognizing Wilcox’s transformative contributions to social impact and cause-driven initiatives through innovative scaling strategies.

The award was presented by Desh Deshpande, investor and permanent member of the MIT Board of Trustees.

Attended by Boston-area leaders including Venkat Srinivasan, Samir Desai, Subu Kota, Dr. Manju Sheth, Satish Jha, and others, the event served as a platform to welcome Vidya Bharati’s leadership and highlight its mission to advance education and social good.

Vidya Bharati oversees approximately 20,000 schools and colleges across 680 of India’s 750 districts, educating 3.5 million K-12 students and shaping the future of millions through its educational initiatives.

Talking about the recipient of the award, Desh Deshpande said, “David Wilcox’s work with ReachScale exemplifies how innovation and strategic scaling can amplify the impact of social causes.”  

Deshpande added, “His leadership has inspired countless organizations to rethink how they address global challenges.”

Wilcox expressed gratitude for the recognition and said, “This award reflects the collective efforts of many who share a vision for sustainable, impactful change. I’m honored to be part of a community that values education and empowerment, as exemplified by Vidya Bharati’s incredible work.”
