President Donald Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Aug. 25 finalised a landmark trade and security agreement at the White House, calling it the largest deal Seoul has ever signed.

“Yeah, I think we have a deal done. They had some problems with it, but we stuck to our guns,” Trump said. “It’s the biggest deal they’ve ever made by far, but it’s one of the biggest deals ever made,” he added, comparing it to historic European trade arrangements generating $950 billion in U.S. revenue, including $750 billion in energy imports.
