Mohan Babu and Prabhas-starrer ‘Kannappa’ set for US cinema release on June 27
This film marks Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s debut in the Telugu film industry.

Multi-starrer, mythological epic “Kannappa” is slated for cinema release worldwide on June.27. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film stars Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal.
Kannappa is a Pan-Indian language film. It draws inspiration from the legend of Bhakta Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. Initially, Kannappa (played by Vishu Manchu) was an atheist hunter, but transforms into a passionate devotee and sacrifices his eyes to honor Lord Shiva.
Moreover, Kannappa marks Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s debut in the Telugu film industry. To build up the hype for the upcoming release of this Pan-Indian language film, Manchu, of Denikaina Ready fame, will be in the US for a road show and events at local cinemas in the US – New Jersey on May. 8, Dallas on May. 9, and San Francisco on May. 10.
According to a statement shared by Sterling Global, the Tollywood actor will interact with local NRIs and give them a sneak peek into the upcoming film Kannappa, with special BTS stills and videos, as well as footage of musical sessions, and much more.

Kannappa is produced by Vishnu Manchu under his AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory banners, with soundtrack composed by Manisharma and Stephen Devassy.
