Hexaware appoints Shantanu Baruah as president

He will lead global strategy, growth, and client success across Hexaware’s healthcare, life sciences, and insurance verticals.

Hexaware Technologies, a global provider of IT and business process solutions, has appointed Indian-American executive Shantanu Baruah as president and global head – healthcare, life sciences and insurance (H&I). 

He will operate from Hexaware’s New Jersey office and will be responsible for shaping global strategy, driving growth, and ensuring client success across the H&I vertical, the company said in a statement.

Baruah joins Hexaware with more than 25 years of leadership experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry. His previous role as executive vice president at HCLTech saw him leading the healthcare vertical through a transformative period, with a particular focus on expanding operations across the Americas.

Hexaware noted that Baruah’s leadership aligns with its strategic emphasis on improving patient outcomes, accelerating innovation, and enhancing operational efficiency for clients worldwide.
