Harjot Singh has joined the Sikh Coalition as its federal advocacy manager, the organization announced this week. He began the role in June 2025 and will support the Coalition’s work on federal policy, including congressional legislation, executive actions, and broader advocacy initiatives.
Singh brings to the role a background in policy research, human rights, and community organizing. He previously served as a Human Rights Fellow at the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he focused on researching the legacies of state violence in Punjab. He has also worked as a Legislative Intern with the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
In addition to these roles, Singh has held leadership positions at several Sikh youth development nonprofits, contributing to community engagement and advocacy work.
