Since taking the helm in 2016, the company has more than doubled in size and completed five strategic acquisitions, including the landmark 2024 acquisition of ShareFile—its largest to date. This growth has been anchored by Gupta’s Total Growth Strategy, which emphasizes AI-powered innovation, focused mergers and acquisitions, and a strong commitment to customer success.

Gupta’s efforts have helped Progress maintain its edge in a competitive digital infrastructure and software market, serving over 75 percent of the Fortune 500.

Winners were selected by an independent panel of past honorees and industry leaders, judged on criteria including long-term value creation, entrepreneurial spirit, and social impact.

As a regional winner, Gupta is now in the running for the 2025 National Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards, set to be announced in November at EY’s Strategic Growth Forum. The national winners will then vie for global recognition at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year competition.
