EducationUSA, the US government’s official source of information on US higher education, will hold a series of eight “Study in the US” education fairs across India from Aug.9 to 17.
The fairs began in Chennai on Aug.9 at the Hilton Hotel from 2 pm to 5 pm, and will be followed by events in Bengaluru on Aug.10, Hyderabad on Aug.11, New Delhi on Aug.12, Kolkata on Aug.13, Ahmedabad on Aug.15, Mumbai on Aug.16, and Pune on Aug.17. Timings will vary slightly across cities, with most events scheduled for three hours in the afternoon or evening.
According to EducationUSA, the fairs will feature representatives from over 50 accredited US universities and colleges. “One room. 50+ U.S. universities. Zero guesswork,” the organisation’s promotional material states, emphasising the opportunity for students, parents, and counsellors to interact directly with US institutions.
Participation is open to students interested in undergraduate or graduate programmes, as well as parents, high school counsellors, Indian college and university representatives, and other visitors. Registration is required in advance, with attendees selecting the city they wish to attend.
The events are part of EducationUSA’s efforts to provide accurate, comprehensive, and current information to prospective international students. The fairs will offer guidance on application processes, scholarships, visas, and academic programmes in the United States.
For more details and registration, EducationUSA has directed interested participants to its official channels. The series of fairs marks one of the organisation’s major outreach initiatives in India this year, aiming to connect US universities with Indian students across multiple regions.
