This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design, deploy, and maintain cloud and containerized infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment. You will work closely with development and operations teams to translate application requirements into scalable, reliable Kubernetes-based platforms. The position emphasizes automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native best practices to ensure high availability and performance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, recommending architecture improvements, and supporting mission-critical systems. This is a fully remote role, providing flexibility while contributing to impactful, enterprise-level cloud solutions. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on continuous learning and technical growth.

Accountabilities

Implement and integrate cloud and Kubernetes distributions into enterprise systems
Translate application requirements into system-level specifications for Kubernetes CaaS platforms
Evaluate legacy application designs and recommend necessary modifications for containerized environments
Lead problem resolution for critical failures, coordinating resources across teams to restore services
Architect and engineer scalable, distributed systems to achieve cost efficiencies, high availability, and performance
Maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like GitLab CI for deployment and automation
Share on-call and support responsibilities with core team members

Requirements

5+ years of experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and OpenShift
3+ years of experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Strong knowledge of cloud computing, including virtualization, hosted services, and multi-tenant cloud infrastructures
Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems
Proficiency with Linux systems and kernel-level knowledge
Familiarity with API design and implementation
Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana
Required certifications: AWS Professional Certification and CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator
