This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to design, deploy, and maintain cloud and containerized infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment. You will work closely with development and operations teams to translate application requirements into scalable, reliable Kubernetes-based platforms. The position emphasizes automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native best practices to ensure high availability and performance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, recommending architecture improvements, and supporting mission-critical systems. This is a fully remote role, providing flexibility while contributing to impactful, enterprise-level cloud solutions. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on continuous learning and technical growth.
Accountabilities
- Implement and integrate cloud and Kubernetes distributions into enterprise systems
- Translate application requirements into system-level specifications for Kubernetes CaaS platforms
- Evaluate legacy application designs and recommend necessary modifications for containerized environments
- Lead problem resolution for critical failures, coordinating resources across teams to restore services
- Architect and engineer scalable, distributed systems to achieve cost efficiencies, high availability, and performance
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like GitLab CI for deployment and automation
- Share on-call and support responsibilities with core team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and OpenShift
- 3+ years of experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, including virtualization, hosted services, and multi-tenant cloud infrastructures
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems
- Proficiency with Linux systems and kernel-level knowledge
- Familiarity with API design and implementation
- Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Required certifications: AWS Professional Certification and CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator
