About the Company: Lume Consulting Group , a Sacramento-based IT consulting company, is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Senior Network Security Engineer/Architect .

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

At least seven (7) years of experience in network and security engineering and architecture.
Experience in network protocols configuration and troubleshooting, including Ethernet, VLAN, L2TP, CDP, MPLS, RIPv2, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, SFTP, TCP, TLS, NTP, DNS.
Proficiency with network hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Ciena).
Experience with VMWare NSX in data center environments.
Knowledge of security appliances and features such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Palo Alto Firewall, F5.
Experience with Application Security Manager/WAF, TippingPoint, DDoS mitigation technologies.
Knowledge of VPN technologies and deployments, including IPsec, AES, IKE, DMVPN, AnyConnect, SDWAN.
Certification as TippingPoint Intrusion Protection System Expert.

Desirable Qualifications

Additional experience with AWS and/or Azure networking services.
Experience with network design documentation, troubleshooting, and process changes.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPS/IDS.
Packet capture and protocol analysis skills.
Knowledge of security controls per NIST 800-53 v4.
Experience with vendor-managed security services.
