સૌર ઉર્જાથી ચાલતા સોલાર ડ્રાયરની મદદથી ભાવનગરના મોટાખોખરા ગામની મહિલાઓ બની આત્મનિર્ભર. મોટાખોખરા ગામમાં મહિલાઓ એક ભાગીદાર કંપની સાથે મળીને કૃષિ ઉત્પાદનોનું પ્રોસેસિંગ કરી રહી છે. મહિલાઓ ટામેટાં, ડુંગળી અને મેથીના પાન સહિત ઘણા પાકને સોલાર ડ્રાયરની મદદથી સૂકવે છે. પછી તેને પાવડરમાં રૂપાંતરિત કરી પેક કરીને બજારમાં વેચવામાં આવે છે. આનાથી પાકનું મૂલ્ય વધે છે અને ખેડૂતોની આવકમાં વધારો થાય છે. આ સોલર ડ્રાયરની ફ્રેન્ડ્સ ઑફ વુમન વર્લ્ડ બેંક, નાબાર્ડ અને સ્થાનિક ખેડૂતોએ મળીને એક નવી શરૂઆત કરી છે. નાબાર્ડ તરફથી આ યોજના માટે નાણાંકીય સહાય આપવામાં આવી છે.
