  • Air India's Strategic Partnership with Alaska Airlines

Air India's Strategic Partnership with Alaska Airlines

November 2023 911 views 01 mins 40 secs

In a significant move to boost its global presence, Air India has entered into a strategic interline collaboration with Alaska Airlines. This partnership opens up a whole new world of possibilities for travellers, allowing Air India passengers to smoothly access a wide array of new destinations across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The bilateral interlining agreement allows both airlines to offer tickets that span their extensive networks, along with a Special Prorate agreement that enables Air India to provide 'through fares' on routes served by Alaska Airlines. This milestone collaboration improves connectivity for Air India passengers, expanding the airline's footprint across North America, including key cities like New York, Newark, Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco. Furthermore, Air India's substantial baggage allowance remains a valuable perk for passengers on Alaska Airlines routes. With 47 weekly non-stop flights from major Indian cities to several US locations and 14 weekly flights from Delhi to Canada, this agreement solidifies Air India's global presence.
