Video reveals Minnesota hotel’s ICE refusal
The exposure came mere hours following Hilton's insistence that the issue had been resolved.

MAGA-aligned journalist Nick Sortor released undercover footage showing a Minnesota hotel still declining to accommodate ICE agents, despite the Hilton chain’s public apology and promise to fix the issue. This video reportedly made Hilton cut ties with the hotel and remove it from its listing.
The video shows Sortor trying to book rooms at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Lakeville while posing as a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) worker.

In the video recorded on Jan. 5, a front desk employee informs him that the hotel is still not accepting bookings from ICE, DHS or immigration enforcement officials.
The employee also mentioned that he has not learned of any recent policy change from the owner, whom he also offered to call, but later said was unable to reach.

The exposure came mere hours following Hilton's insistence that the issue had been resolved.
The hotel was bought for $15 million in 2024 and is owned by four Indian-Americans, Parmjit Singh, Amanpreet Hundal, Karandeep Nagra, and Mohinderjeet Kaur, as per the filings with the Minnesota secretary of state.
The row began when DHS presented emails online that mentioned the rooms booked by federal agents had been cancelled once the hotel learned they were linked to immigration enforcement. Hilton replied and distanced itself from the decision, blaming a single, independently owned franchise.
The hotel's management company, Everpeak Hospitality, also mentioned it was working to resolve the issue.
However, Sortor's video revealed that the promises weren’t met.
Following the release of Sortor’s video, Hilton released another statement, mentioning that it was taking decisive action.
