US President Donald Trump on Sept. 18 voiced concern about foreign truck drivers operating in the U.S., saying safety on American highways demands that drivers speak English.
During a press gaggle aboard Air Force One, Trump was pressed on complaints from American truck drivers about foreign drivers receiving expedited licenses despite language barriers. “They tell me some of these foreign truck drivers … they get fast-tracked through the system. A lot of them don’t speak English,” a reporter said.
