President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani revealed a striking alignment on housing, with both leaders calling for a major construction surge to ease the city’s rent crisis and expand supply across the five boroughs.

Donald Trump and Indian origin Mamdani found rare political consensus on one of New York City’s most urgent problems: soaring housing costs.
