Usha Vance, Second Lady of the United States and wife of Vice President JD Vance, spoke about her Indian American identity, upbringing in California, and her family's recent visit to India during a fireside chat at the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Leadership Summit on June 2.
Born and raised in San Diego to Indian immigrant parents who moved to the U.S. in the 1970s to pursue PhDs at the University of California, Vance described her childhood as one of “limitless possibility”.
