India’s IT sector, long the engine behind the world’s digital backbone, is now being recognised as a force shaping economies and diplomacy. Its influence extends well beyond coding and outsourcing, positioning India as an “IT superpower” that drives innovation, strengthens international partnerships, and empowers global communities.

This growing stature was the focus of the first-ever event hosted by ITServe Alliance in collaboration with the Indian Consulate in New York last week. The gathering brought together industry leaders, diplomats, and entrepreneurs to showcase how Indian-origin IT firms are redefining technology’s role in society.
