Highlighting the City's acceptance of diversity and variety of cultural traditions, he said, "Hindu Americans have enriched our communities with rich traditions and abundant culture, and the city is proud to recognize, during Hindu Heritage Month, their many social, cultural, and economic contributions to our city, state, and nation."

It added, "This is an excellent example of the critical work being done by Hindus at the grassroots level and an exciting moment for a new chapter that is working hard to celebrate #Hindu Heritage in their city."
