“In these times of growing anxiety, it is important to meditate so we can avoid many rising problems such as suicides and sleep disorders,” Thakkar said. He emphasized the importance of calming the mind and gaining greater control over one’s inner self.
The atmosphere was further enriched by melodious bhajans sung by Sanjana Tyagi, an occupational therapist by profession.

The program began with welcome remarks from the temple’s Board of Trustees chairman Khemchand Nangrani and president Mahalakshmi Shivkumar.
Addressing the gathering, Archana Didi highlighted the importance of smiling and finding joy in everyday life.
“We enjoy our life for what we like, but we stop smiling when we do not enjoy something. We don’t get everything in life — we should surrender and enjoy life. We wait for luxurious things — this brings sadness. Life is moments that you spend, so give yourself that time. Meditation means ‘me’ time — surrendering of life. Smile for yourself, not for others,” she said.
The program continued with a laughter therapy session led by Anish, followed by a “smile meditation” session by Archana Didi. Both sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by attendees, creating an atmosphere of joy, relaxation and positivity.
